We are pleased to announce that the Propeller Club of Baltimore has named Tydings Partner Alexander M. Giles the 2024 Port Person of the Year. Alex is the first maritime attorney to receive this prestigious award.
Established in 1931, the Propeller Club of Baltimore boasts a roster of approximately 350 active members. Membership includes business professionals directly engaged with the port, such as terminal operators and stevedores, carriers, tug and tow companies, shippers, pilots, steamship agencies, freight forwarders, and other supporting businesses.
One of the premier maritime law attorneys in the nation, Alex has almost three decades of extensive and diverse experience handling the unique business, regulatory, and claims-related issues that arise in this distinct and complex area of the law.
