Tydings & Rosenberg LLP is pleased to welcome Rachel A. DeCaluwe, J. Salvador Icaza V, and Megan K. Young to the firm. Rachel and Megan focus their practices on bankruptcy/creditors' rights and commercial litigation matters, and Sal concentrates on medical malpractice and health care litigation.
"We are thrilled to welcome three bright and talented young attorneys to the Tydings team," said Managing Partner Diane D'Aiutolo. "Rachel, Megan, and Sal each possess a strong litigation foundation and an enthusiasm for the law. As we continue to see the demand for litigation grow, onboarding skilled attorneys supports our commitment to excellent representation."
Rachel's practice comprises commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and other contested matters. Her advocacy is informed by the insights and perspectives she gained working in state and federal trial and appellate courts, including as a staff attorney at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and a judicial law clerk in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. Rachel earned her law degree, cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
Sal brings a first-hand perspective gained while working in health care to his practice, focusing on medical malpractice litigation and other contested matters. His academic emphasis on trial advocacy and behind-the-bench insights acquired through a judicial clerkship at the Circuit Court for Baltimore City inform his approach to resolving matters efficiently. Sal earned his law degree from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.
With an impressive academic foundation in courtroom advocacy and bankruptcy law, complemented by behind-the-bench experience and insights from her clerkship with Maryland’s Appellate Court, Megan is well-equipped to represent clients in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, and insolvency matters. She earned her law degree from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.
