Recognizing Excellence - 2010

In 2010, Tydings was recognized by Benchmark Litigation, Best Law Firms, and Maryland Super Lawyers.  In fact, Alan Grochal, partner and chair of the Bankruptcy/Creditors' Rights group, had the honor of being named as one of the Top 50 lawyers in Maryland. 

In addition to the firm’s recognition by Benchmark Litigation and Best Lawyers, some of our attorneys were singled out for their practices.  Benchmark Litigation recognized Bill Carrier for his general commercial litigation practice in employment law, John Isbister  for his complex litigation practice, and Bill Sammons for his real estate, employment, and antitrust litigation practice.  Best Lawyers recognized John IsbisterAlan GrochalHerbert Belgrad, and Thomas Wilson.

Franklin Lee was named to the inaugural edition of Who's Who in Black Baltimore.  He also was selected as recipient of the Practitioner of the Year Award by the Black Law Students Association (BLSA) of the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.  Finally, Mr. Lee was appointed to Governor O'Malley's Maryland Task Force on Minority Business Enterprise and Equity Investment Capital.

Melissa Jones was selected by SmartCEO Magazine as one of the Legal Elite recipients. Baltimore SmartCEO selects recipients by asking local business executives who they see as their top go-to business attorneys in Baltimore.
