Ronald McDonald House The Ronald McDonald House provides a home away from home for families of seriously ill children who are receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. Some children need to travel great distances to get the medical attention they need. In-hospital treatment may last one day, one year, or even longer. The Ronald McDonald House gives family members a place to sleep, eat, relax, and find support from other families in similar situations. All of this is provided at a low cost to the families. To provide these services, the Ronald McDonald House relies on volunteers and donations such as those by Tydings & Rosenberg.
Tydings & Rosenberg partner, Barry Weiskopf, served on the Board of Directors of the Baltimore Ronald McDonald House. When asked about the program and Tydings & Rosenberg's involvement, Barry said "The firm's involvement started when one of our own and his family stayed at the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House in 2002 while his daughter underwent medical treatment. I am very proud of our commitment to the community."
