Gregory C. Mullen

An associate in the bankruptcy/creditors’ rights department, Mr. Mullen represents debtors, creditors, and trustees in Chapter 7 and 11 proceedings, workouts, liquidations, foreclosures, and financial restructurings.  He assists business creditors with commercial litigation that often accompanies bankruptcy cases, including litigation related to fraudulent transfer issues, preference actions, lift-stay motions, real estate, and breach of contract disputes.

Mr. Mullen’s experience includes:

  • Prosecuting stay relief motions, sale motions, lien avoidance actions, and claim objections in bankruptcy proceedings;

  • Prevailing on objections to a Chapter 11 plans for individual and commercial debtors which sought to devalue real estate lien interests;

  • Handling bankruptcy, collection, and foreclosure proceedings for local and national financial institutions;

  • Successfully defending lending clients in Bankruptcy Court, District Court, and the Circuit Court of Appeal in matters relating to the legitimacy of lien instruments; and

  • Appearing in related state court proceedings regarding enforcement of creditors’ rights, including obtaining possession of clients’ collateral.

Mr. Mullen is admitted to practice in Maryland.
